Memory
Memory is made by one person. If something is broken, or a reminder did not arrive when it should have, write to me. You will get a reply from a human, usually within two working days.
Write to me
memoryapp2026@gmail.comIt saves a round of questions if you say which iPhone you have, which version of iOS it is running, and what you expected to happen instead.
The sign-in code never arrived
Memory has no passwords. You type your email address and it sends a one-time code. If the code has not turned up:
- Look in the spam folder. The first one often lands there.
- Check the address for typos. The code goes wherever you sent it.
- Codes expire. Ask for a fresh one rather than using an older email.
- University mail servers sometimes hold outside mail for a few minutes. Wait, then ask again.
If none of that works, write to me with the address you are using and I will look at it from my side.
Reminders are not arriving
Three things have to be true, in this order:
- Notifications are on inside Memory. Settings → Nudges → Notifications on this device.
- iOS is allowing them. The system asks once, the first time. If you said no then, the switch inside Memory cannot override it: go to the iPhone's Settings → Notifications → Memory and turn them back on.
- The reminder has a time. An item with a date but no time has nothing to ring at.
Gentle nudges sends one notification at the time you set, and does not repeat. Morning edition sends a single summary at 8 a.m. They are separate switches: turning one on does not turn the other on.
The times look wrong, or I have moved country
Memory keeps the timezone your account was set up in, so that something due at 11 p.m. stays at 11 p.m. and does not drift while you travel. If you have moved for good and everything now looks shifted by a few hours, write to me and I will move the account across.
How do I delete my account
Settings → Account → Delete account. You have to type DELETE, deliberately, before the button will work. It removes the account itself and not only its contents: reminders, courses, the timetable, notification addresses and the account record all go. It cannot be undone, and there is no recovery period.
Can I look at Memory without signing up
Yes. On the sign-in screen, tap Look around first. Memory opens with a full sample semester and every screen works: you can tick things off, write new ones and browse the calendar. Nothing is saved and no account is created.
What happens to my data
The short version: it is stored so that it reaches your other devices, and it is not sold, mined or handed to advertisers. There is no analytics and no crash reporting in the app at all. The long version is the Privacy Policy.
Something is missing, or I have an idea
Write. Memory is small and early, and what students actually ask for is what gets built next.
